Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.

On 6th July 1711 James Douglas 2nd Duke Queensberry [aged 48] died. His son Charles [aged 12] succeeded 3rd Duke Queensberry.
On 10th March 1720 Charles Douglas 3rd Duke Queensberry [aged 21] and Catherine Hyde Duchess Queensbury [aged 19] were married. She by marriage Duchess Queensberry. She the daughter of Henry Hyde 2nd Earl Rochester 4th Earl Clarendon [aged 47] and Jane Leveson-Gower Countess Rochester and Clarendon. He the son of James Douglas 2nd Duke Queensberry and Mary Boyle Duchess Queensbury. They were second cousins.
On 11th January 1812 Henry Scott 3rd Duke Buccleuch [aged 65] died. His son Charles [aged 39] succeeded 4th Duke Buccleuch, 6th Duke Queensberry, 4th Earl Doncaster, 4th Baron Scott of Tynedale. Harriet Katherine Townshend Duchess Buccleuch Duchess Queensbury [aged 38] by marriage Duchess Buccleuch.
On 20th April 1819 Charles Scott 4th Duke Buccleuch 6th Duke Queensberry [aged 46] died. His son Walter succeeded 5th Duke Buccleuch, 7th Duke Queensberry, 5th Earl Doncaster, 5th Baron Scott of Tynedale.
On 13th August 1829 Walter Scott 5th Duke Buccleuch 7th Duke Queensberry and Charlotte Anne Thynne Duchess Buccleuch Duchess Queensbury [aged 18] were married at St George's Church, Hanover Square. She by marriage Duchess Buccleuch and Duchess Queensberry. She the daughter of Thomas Thynne 2nd Marquess of Bath [aged 64] and Isabella Elizabeth Byng Marchioness Bath [aged 55]. He the son of Charles Scott 4th Duke Buccleuch 6th Duke Queensberry and Harriet Katherine Townshend Duchess Buccleuch Duchess Queensbury. They were fifth cousin once removed. He a great x 5 grandson of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.
On 16th April 1884 Walter Scott 5th Duke Buccleuch 7th Duke Queensberry died at Bowhill. He was buried in Buccleuch Crypt, St Nicholas Church, Dalkeith. His son William [aged 52] succeeded 6th Duke Buccleuch, 8th Duke Queensberry, 6th Earl Doncaster, 6th Baron Scott of Tynedale. Chronicle of Walter of Guisborough
A canon regular of the Augustinian Guisborough Priory, Yorkshire, formerly known as The Chronicle of Walter of Hemingburgh, describes the period from 1066 to 1346. Before 1274 the Chronicle is based on other works. Thereafter, the Chronicle is original, and a remarkable source for the events of the time. This book provides a translation of the Chronicle from that date. The Latin source for our translation is the 1849 work edited by Hans Claude Hamilton. Hamilton, in his preface, says: 'In the present work we behold perhaps one of the finest samples of our early chronicles, both as regards the value of the events recorded, and the correctness with which they are detailed; Nor will the pleasing style of composition be lightly passed over by those capable of seeing reflected from it the tokens of a vigorous and cultivated mind, and a favourable specimen of the learning and taste of the age in which it was framed.'

His son Walter [aged 40] succeeded 8th Duke Buccleuch, 10th Duke Queensberry, 8th Earl Doncaster, 8th Baron Scott of Tynedale. Vreda Lascelles Duchess Buccleuch and Queensbury [aged 35] by marriage Duchess Buccleuch Duchess Queensberry.
On 4th October 1973 Walter Scott 8th Duke Buccleuch 10th Duke Queensberry [aged 78] died. His son Walter [aged 50] succeeded 9th Duke Buccleuch, 11th Duke Queensberry, 9th Earl Doncaster, 9th Baron Scott of Tynedale. Jane McNeill Duchess of Buccleuch [aged 43] by marriage Duchess Buccleuch.
On 4th September 2007 Walter Francis Montagu-Douglas-Scott 9th Duke Buccleuch 11th Duke Queensberry [aged 83] died. His son Richard [aged 53] succeeded 10th Duke Buccleuch, 12th Duke Queensberry, 10th Earl Doncaster, 10th Baron Scott of Tynedale.
