The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson. Available at Amazon in eBook and Paperback.

She the daughter of [her grandfather] Charles Yorke 8th Earl of Hardwicke (age 61). He the son of [her grandfather] Thomas William Coke 4th Earl of Leicester (age 51) and [her grandmother] Marion Gertrude Trefusis Countess Leicester (age 49).
On 16th July 1932 Anne Veronica Coke Baroness Glenconner was born to Major Thomas William Edward Coke 5th Earl of Leicester (age 24) and Elizabeth Mary Yorke Countess of Leicester (age 20).
In 1950 Anne Veronica Coke Baroness Glenconner (age 17) was formally presented at court, and was made 'debutante of the year' by Tatler.
On 2nd June 1953 Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom (age 27) was crowned Queen of the United Kingdom by Archbishop Geoffrey Fisher (age 66) at Westminster Abbey [Map].

On 21st April 1956 Colin Tennant 3rd Baron Glenconner (age 29) and Anne Veronica Coke Baroness Glenconner (age 23) were married at St Withburga's Church, Holkham [Map]. Bishop Percy Herbert (age 70) presided. The guests included Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon Queen Consort England (age 55) and Princess Margaret (age 25). Princess Margaret's future husband Antony Armstrong-Jones 1st Earl of Snowdon (age 26) took the photographs. She the daughter of Major Thomas William Edward Coke 5th Earl of Leicester (age 47) and Elizabeth Mary Yorke Countess of Leicester (age 44).
On 15th February 1957 [her son] Charles Edward Pevensey Tennant was born to [her husband] Colin Tennant 3rd Baron Glenconner (age 30) and Anne Veronica Coke Baroness Glenconner (age 24).
On 6th May 1960 Antony Armstrong-Jones 1st Earl of Snowdon (age 30) and Princess Margaret (age 29) were married at Westminster Abbey [Map]. The ceremony was the first royal wedding to be broadcast on television. She the daughter of King George VI of the United Kingdom and Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon Queen Consort England (age 59).
[her husband] Colin Tennant 3rd Baron Glenconner (age 33) and Anne Veronica Coke Baroness Glenconner (age 27), whose wedding the couple had attended four years before, offered them a piece of land on their privately owned island, Mustique, and agreed to build a house for the couple on the land. It was designed in 1971 by uncle to Lord Snowdon, Oliver Messel, and named "Les Jolies Eaux" aka "The Pretty Waters"
In 1983 [her father-in-law] Christopher Tennant 2nd Baron Glenconner (age 84) died. His son [her husband] Colin (age 56) succeeded 3rd Baron Glenconner of The Glen in Peebles, 4th Baronet Tennant of The Glen and St Rollox. Anne Veronica Coke Baroness Glenconner (age 50) by marriage Baroness Glenconner of The Glen in Peebles.
On 27th August 2010 [her husband] Colin Tennant 3rd Baron Glenconner (age 83) died. His grandson [her grandson] Cody (age 16) succeeded 4th Baron Glenconner of The Glen in Peebles, 5th Baronet Tennant of The Glen and St Rollox. He had made a new will shortly before his death leaving all of his assets to an employee, Kent Adonai. The family contested this will, and after a legal battle that lasted several years the estate was divided between Adonai and Cody Charles Edward Tennant.
