On 30th April 1884 father and daughter, [her grandfather] Prince Louis Hesse Darmstadt IV Grand Duke (age 46) and [her mother] Victoria Hesse Darmstadt Marchioness Milford Haven (age 21), were both married on the same, or near, days, he taking advantage pf his relatives being in Darmstadt for his daughter's wedding. He, apparently, didn't approve of his daughter's choice of his first cousin [her father] Prince Louis of Battenburg 1st Marquess Milford Haven (age 29) since they, Prince Louis of Battenburg 1st Marquess Milford Haven and Victoria Hesse Darmstadt Marchioness Milford Haven would live in Britain.

Prince Louis of Battenburg 1st Marquess Milford Haven and Victoria Hesse Darmstadt Marchioness Milford Haven were married. She the daughter of Prince Louis Hesse Darmstadt IV Grand Duke and [her grandmother] Princess Alice Saxe Coburg Gotha. They were first cousin once removed. She a granddaughter of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom.

In the evening Prince Louis Hesse Darmstadt IV Grand Duke and Alexandrina Hutten Czapska (age 29) were married. She being his former mistress. Apparently, they separated within a week and the marriage was annulled within three months.

On 13th July 1889 Louise Mountbatten Queen Consort Sweden was born to [her father] Prince Louis of Battenburg 1st Marquess Milford Haven (age 35) and [her mother] Victoria Hesse Darmstadt Marchioness Milford Haven (age 26). She a great granddaughter of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom. Coefficient of inbreeding 3.61%.

On 15th June 1905 [her future husband] Gustaf Adolph VI King Sweden (age 22) and Margaret "Daisy" Windsor (age 23) were married. She the daughter of Prince Arthur Windsor 1st Duke Connaught and Strathearn (age 55) and Luise Margarete Hohenzollern Duchess Connaught (age 44). He the son of [her future father-in-law] Gustav V King Sweden (age 46). They were fourth cousin twice removed. He a great x 5 grandson of King George II of Great Britain and Ireland. She a granddaughter of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom.

In 1916 [her brother] George Mountbatten 2nd Marquess Milford Haven (age 23) and [her sister-in-law] Nadejda Mikhailovna Torby Marchioness Milford Haven (age 19) were married. He the son of [her father] Prince Louis of Battenburg 1st Marquess Milford Haven (age 61) and [her mother] Victoria Hesse Darmstadt Marchioness Milford Haven (age 52).

On 7th November 1917 [her father] Prince Louis of Battenburg 1st Marquess Milford Haven (age 63) was created 1st Marquess Milford Haven. [her mother] Victoria Hesse Darmstadt Marchioness Milford Haven (age 54) by marriage Marchioness Milford Haven.

On 11th September 1921 [her father] Prince Louis of Battenburg 1st Marquess Milford Haven (age 67) died. His son [her brother] George (age 28) succeeded 2nd Marquess Milford Haven. [her sister-in-law] Nadejda Mikhailovna Torby Marchioness Milford Haven (age 25) by marriage Marchioness Milford Haven.

On 18th July 1922 [her brother] Louis Mountbatten 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma (age 22) and [her sister-in-law] Edwina Ashley (age 20) were married at St Margaret's Church, Westminster [Map]. He the son of [her father] Prince Louis of Battenburg 1st Marquess Milford Haven and [her mother] Victoria Hesse Darmstadt Marchioness Milford Haven (age 59).

The wedding, which attracted hugh crowds, was attending by Queen Mary (age 55), Queen Alexandra (age 77) and the Prince of Wales.

The History of William Marshal, Earl of Chepstow and Pembroke, Regent of England. Book 1 of 2, Lines 1-10152.

The History of William Marshal was commissioned by his son shortly after William’s death in 1219 to celebrate the Marshal’s remarkable life; it is an authentic, contemporary voice. The manuscript was discovered in 1861 by French historian Paul Meyer. Meyer published the manuscript in its original Anglo-French in 1891 in two books. This book is a line by line translation of the first of Meyer’s books; lines 1-10152. Book 1 of the History begins in 1139 and ends in 1194. It describes the events of the Anarchy, the role of William’s father John, John’s marriages, William’s childhood, his role as a hostage at the siege of Newbury, his injury and imprisonment in Poitou where he met Eleanor of Aquitaine and his life as a knight errant. It continues with the accusation against him of an improper relationship with Margaret, wife of Henry the Young King, his exile, and return, the death of Henry the Young King, the rebellion of Richard, the future King Richard I, war with France, the death of King Henry II, and the capture of King Richard, and the rebellion of John, the future King John. It ends with the release of King Richard and the death of John Marshal.

She the daughter of Prince Louis of Battenburg 1st Marquess Milford Haven and Victoria Hesse Darmstadt Marchioness Milford Haven (age 60). He the son of Gustav V King Sweden (age 65). They were fifth cousin once removed. He a great x 5 grandson of King George II of Great Britain and Ireland. She a great granddaughter of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom.

1929. French Gallery Exhibition. The private view was covered by many newspapers and the Daily News reported: "There were as many celebrities on the walls as there were in person. Lady Onslow (age 40), in a dress of ecru lace over black, the Hon. Mrs Edward Lascelles in a beige crepe de chine jumper suit … and Lady Stanhope in a beige coat and skirt and bright patterned scarf and red hat, were three beautiful women who came to see how they looked "hung." Also in attendance were Princess Louise of Sweden (age 39) and her mother the [her mother] Dowager Lady Milford Haven (age 65), to see the portrait of their sister and daughter-in-law [her sister-in-law] Nadejda (age 32), daughter of Grand Duke Michael Michaelovitch of Russia (1861-1929).

On 20th October 1932 [her step-son] Prince Gustaf Adolf Bernadotte (age 26) and Sibylla Saxe Coburg Gotha (age 24) were married. He the son of [her husband] Gustaf Adolph VI King Sweden (age 49) and Margaret "Daisy" Windsor. They were second cousins. He a great grandson of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom. She a great granddaughter of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom.

On 8th April 1938 [her brother] George Mountbatten 2nd Marquess Milford Haven (age 45) died. His son [her nephew] David (age 18) succeeded 3rd Marquess Milford Haven.

On 10th October 1944 Harold Philips (age 34) and Georgina Wernher (age 24) were married at St Margaret's Church, Westminster [Map]. Guests included The King of Hellenes (age 54), [her step-son] Prince Bertil of Sweden (age 32), and The Duchess of Kent (age 37). Princess Alexandra of Kent (age 7) and Gina's sister, Myra, were bridesmaids.

On 26th January 1947 [her step-son] Prince Gustaf Adolf Bernadotte (age 40) died in a plane crash at Kastrup Airport, Copenhagen, Denmark. The prince, along with two companions, was returning to Stockholm from a hunting trip and visit to Princess Juliana and Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands. The delayed KLM flight from Amsterdam had landed at Copenhagen for a routine stop before continuing to Stockholm. Soon after the Douglas DC-3 aircraft took off, it climbed to an altitude of about 50 meters, stalled, and plummeted nose-first to the ground, where it exploded on impact. All 22 people aboard the plane (16 passengers and six crew members) were killed. Also aboard the ill-fated flight was American singer and actress Grace Moore and Danish actress Gerda Neumann. An investigation found that an inexperienced young employee had serviced the aircraft and, short of time, the plane's captain had failed to perform the final pre-flight check list properly. He took off not realizing that elevator locking pins were still in place.

On 28th October 1947 [her brother] Louis Mountbatten 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma (age 47) was created 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma with a special remainder to his daughters and their heirs male. [her sister-in-law] Edwina Ashley Countess Mountbatten Burma (age 45) by marriage Countess Mountbatten of Burma.

On 24th September 1950 [her mother] Victoria Hesse Darmstadt Marchioness Milford Haven (age 87) died.

On 29th October 1950 [her father-in-law] Gustav V King Sweden (age 92) died. His son [her husband] Gustaf (age 67) succeeded VI King Sweden. Louise Mountbatten Queen Consort Sweden (age 61) by marriage Queen Consort Sweden.

Jean de Waurin's Chronicle of England Volume 6 Books 3-6: The Wars of the Roses

Jean de Waurin was a French Chronicler, from the Artois region, who was born around 1400, and died around 1474.
